Careful deliberation

It rained

She was not alone in seeking refuge from the deluge. One by one, they dropped in, each finding this place by their own wit. No sign or decree urged them here, only the silent promise of shelter. No one spoke, the situation sufficing as shared understanding

Thus, the wait, and a choice

Waiting would mean remaining dry (as far as it was still possible), but it would also mean not moving towards whatever destination. The choice was to brave the rain, embracing the wetness but being in motion

She pondered the choice for quite some time. Before reaching a decision, however, the rain ceased
